The SkanDek panels consist of 100% inorganic materials, contributing to a very long life span.
SkanDek use the thin-plate standard calculation conditions, and the thin-plate standard requirements should be complied with. From 1 January 2009 the thin-plate standard will be replaced with Eurocode. In the future the thin-plate standard will be described in the Steel Standard (3.3)
SkanDek has been tried in full-scale tests, which is why our claims are consistent with the tests that have been made.
The combination of great strength, stiffness and span widths up to 22 metres opens up a number of new possibilities for all decision-makers in the purchasing process. The decision-makers include Developers, Architects, Engineers and Contractors.
This means in practice that savings can be made on the supporting constructions, which reduces the building process and gives the architect a free hand in terms of arrangement.
SkanDeks elements can be mounted 8 to 10 times faster than a traditional roof, without compromising the quality. SkanDeks products are made of stricter conditions and we ensure that the finished element meets the requirements that the customer may have.

SkanDek element is manufactured from inorganic materials, which ensures the builders that use it correctly, obtain a sustainable and long life element. This is one of the reasons which make SkanDek most often involved in PPP construction projects (Public Private Partnership).
